Official Call for Photo Contest Submissions
Dear Participants,
We are excited to announce the commencement of the Photo Contest as part of the 6th Regional Symposium on Landslides in the Adriatic-Balkan Region (6th ReSyLAB). This unique opportunity allows you to showcase your talent in capturing the diverse facets of landslides and their impact on the environment. The Symposium aims to raise awareness, promote understanding, and foster discussions on landslides, their causes, and preventive measures.
Theme: "Landslides: Nature's Force Unveiled"
Submission Guidelines:
Eligibility: Open to all attendees of the 6th ReSyLAB
Submission Deadline: All entries must be submitted by April 30th, 2024.
Submission Format:
- High-resolution images (JPG, JEPG, BMP, TIF), min 1024×768 pixels, max 15 MB.
- Each participant may submit only one image.
- A brief description of the photograph to highlight its significance.
- High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable (minimum 600 DPI).
- Please do not include a watermark or border.

Exhibition and Awards:
Public Exhibition: Selected photos will be featured in a public exhibition during the 6th ReSyLAB on May 17th 2024. The place of the exhibition will be announced promptly.
Awards & Judging Criteria:
Selected photos will be awarded. Entries will be judged based on creativity, technical excellence, and relevance to the theme.
A panel of distinguished judges will evaluate the submissions and determine the winners. In addition to the professional jury's evaluation,
we are delighted to involve our Symposium attendees and the public in the judging process. All exhibited photos will be open for public viewing,
allowing visitors to cast their votes for their favorite submissions.
How to Submit:
Register for the Photo Contest using the official submit form that will be available on the Symposium website.
Important Dates:
- Submission Form Opened: March 1st 2024.
- Submission Deadline: April 30th 2024.
- Judging Period: April 30th - 17th May 2024.
- Winners Announcement: May 18th, at the Closing Ceremony
Note:
To ensure the integrity of the Landslide Photo Contest, only photographs for which the authors retain the copyright and have not been previously submitted to or awarded in other competitions are eligible for consideration. Participants are kindly requested to confirm the exclusive rights to their submissions.
By submitting your photos, you grant the Organizing Committee of the 6th ReSyLAB the unconditional right to use and display the images for promotional and educational purposes, with appropriate credit to the authors. Please, do not submit photos for which you already passed the ownership rights.
We look forward to your creative contributions, shedding light on the multifaceted aspects of landslides. Your participation will not only enrich the 6th ReSyLAB but also contribute to the broader discourse on these geological phenomena.
